Beginning April 1, 2022, upfront fees for second home loans will increase between 1.125% to 3.875%. These new fees impact mortgages sold to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the two government-backed privately held mortgage companies created by Congress to provide stability and affordability in the mortgage market.
